Industrial Drying Equipment
Drying removes water from a product, either by blowing it off with high velocity air or by evaporating it with heat. Hurll Nu-Way supplies Secomak container drying machines, air knives, and high velocity blowers for blow-off drying, and Lanemark and Nu-Way process burners for heated dryers, from packaging lines to crop dryers.
Drying by method
We match the method to the product, the line speed, and how dry it needs to be.
Cans, bottles, and jars
Secomak drying machines remove water from containers on filling and packaging lines before labelling, coding, or packing.
- Secomak DryGuideUp to 125,000 cans/hr
- Secomak PowerHeatInfrared · up to 80,000 units/hr
- All drying machinesDryers, washers, shrink tunnels
Blow-off drying
Air knives give a continuous sheet of high velocity air to strip water and debris from products, with blowers matched to the knives.
- Air knivesLinear, circular, and compressed air
- Secomak high velocity blowers300 to 980 m³/hr
Condensation control
Dehumidifying modules stop condensation forming on cold containers between processes, without factory-wide humidity control.
- Secomak PowerCATDew point 14 °C to 3 °C (typical)
Heated dryers
Gas burners heat the process air in crop, grain, powder, textile, and product dryers, with turndown to suit changing loads.
- Lanemark FDC and FDGAUp to 1,550 kW
- Lanemark Midco HMA2AModular line burner

Blow-off or heat?
Blowing water off with air is fast and uses little energy, so it suits surface water on packaging, metal, and food products. Heat is needed when water has to be evaporated from inside a product, such as grain, powders, or textiles.
Many lines use both: air knives to take off most of the water, then heat to finish. Tell us the product, the line speed, and the moisture you need to reach, and we will recommend the setup.

Engineering packaging solutionsDrying FAQs
How do I dry cans and bottles on a filling line?
Secomak DryGuide machines remove water from the top or base of containers, up to 125,000 cans per hour and across up to 8 lanes on the Mass Flow version.
What is an air knife?
An air knife blows a continuous sheet of high velocity air to strip water and debris from a product. It is fed by a blower matched to the knife, and circular versions dry rods, cables, and tubes.
How do I stop condensation on cold containers?
A Secomak PowerCAT dehumidifying module controls humidity right at the conveyor, typically bringing the dew point down from 14 °C to 3 °C, without factory-wide humidity control.
Which burners suit dryers?
Lanemark FDC and FDGA burners heat the process air in dryers up to 1,550 kW, and Lanemark Midco line burners suit duct-mounted direct-fired drying.
Can drying machines be added to an existing line?
Yes. Secomak machines are modular and designed to retrofit into existing lines.
