Modular duct burners for air heating
Energystream burners are nozzle mixing line modules in straight or cross patterns that build into almost any shape to suit the duct. ES burners use straight sections. ESX burners add cross modules.
The burner head includes the burner section, integral pilot, spark ignition, and a flame probe or UV flame monitoring. Packages can add a combustion air fan and gas train, mounted on a side plate for easy fitting in the duct. Stainless steel casings and nozzles are available for higher temperatures.
There are three ways to run it. On-ratio firing gives up to 30:1 turndown and suits recirculation heating. Gas only control with a fixed air fan gives around 20:1 for fresh air dryers and air heaters. Open-back firing, with no fan, draws air from the duct for fume incineration and make-up air. Nu-Way is based in Droitwich Spa, England, and is part of the Enertech group alongside Bentone.

What output does the Nu-Way ES/ESX give?
600 kW per 305 mm module and 1,200 kW per cross module. Standard burners run from 300 kW (ES10) to 3,600 kW (ESX120), with larger systems to 20 MW and above.
What is the difference between ES and ESX?
ES burners are built from straight modules. ESX burners include cross modules, for wider or squarer ducts.
What turndown does the Energystream give?
Up to 30:1 with on-ratio air and gas control, and around 20:1 with gas only control.
Can the ES run without a combustion air fan?
Yes. In open-back form it takes air from the duct, as long as oxygen stays at 17% or above. This suits fume incineration and make-up air heating.
