Secomak Model 588T Gas Booster
Raises gas supply pressure for boilers, burners, CHP engines, ovens, and furnaces. Up to 2,000 m³/hr at 112 mbar on a 15 kW three phase motor.
At a glance: The Secomak Model 588T is a gas booster that raises supply pressure for boilers, burners, CHP engines, ovens, and furnaces. It delivers up to 2,000 m³/hr and up to 112 mbar on natural gas, town gas, or biogas, using a 15 kW 415 V three phase motor. It is available stand-alone or as a package with APS Inverter, Duty Standby, acoustic enclosure, and Gas Sensor System options. Hurll Nu-Way supplies, installs, and services Secomak gas boosters in Australia.
Boosted gas pressure where the supply falls short
A gas booster lifts the pressure of the incoming gas supply so burners, boilers, and CHP engines get the pressure they are designed for. The Secomak 588T handles up to 2,000 m³/hr and up to 112 mbar.
It runs on natural gas, town gas, or biogas. The impeller is machined from a single piece of aluminium for smooth, balanced running, the bearings are sealed for life to keep out dust and dirt, and the fan chamber is ribbed for extra strength. It can link to a building management system.
The 588T comes as a stand-alone booster or as a package with controls and an installation kit, with APS Inverter, Duty Standby, acoustic enclosure, and Gas Sensor System options. Secomak is a British manufacturer that, working with British Gas, built the first gas booster in 1966. Each booster is built and tested in the UK to British Standard 8487.

Available packages
| Option | What it adds |
|---|---|
| Stand-alone booster | The booster set on its own, for fitting into your own controls |
| Package gas booster | Booster with controls, supplied with an installation kit |
| APS Inverter System | Holds a set outlet pressure when inlet pressure dips, with soft start and lower power use |
| Duty Standby | Two boosters that swap duty every seven days, so maintenance never stops the gas supply |
| Acoustic enclosure | Cuts operating noise by 10 to 15 dB(A), with quick release panels |
| Gas Sensor System | Gas leak sensor inside the acoustic enclosure, with pre-alarms and automatic safety cut-off |
