Aeration Blowers
Aeration blowers supply the air that lets microbes break down organic matter in wastewater, ponds, and aquaculture. Blowers are often the biggest energy user at a treatment plant, so efficiency matters. Hurll Nu-Way supplies Namwon TurboOne turbo blowers and Robox lobe blowers, and overhauls and services them.
Blowers for aeration
We size the blower to your air demand and the depth of the tank.
Turbo blowers
High-speed turbo blowers on air bearings, with no lubricant to change and variable speed control to follow demand.

Lobe blowers
Positive displacement lobe blowers in compact, low noise enclosures for pressure or vacuum duty.

Noise and pulsation
Silencers and pulsation dampeners cut noise and pipe vibration from blowers.

Cutting aeration energy
Air demand in a treatment plant changes through the day. A blower with variable speed control matches its output to demand instead of running flat out and wasting air.
Tell us the air flow, the pressure, and how much demand varies, and we will compare turbo and lobe options for your plant.

Engineering packaging solutionsAeration FAQs
What blower is best for wastewater aeration?
It depends on the air flow, pressure, and how much demand varies. Turbo blowers like the Namwon TurboOne suit larger plants with changing demand; lobe blowers like the Robox suit steady duty and smaller plants.
Do turbo blowers need oil changes?
The Namwon TurboOne runs on foil air bearings with no lubricant, so there is no oil to change.
What pressure and flow do Robox lobe blowers reach?
Up to 1,000 mbar(g) pressure, vacuum to 500 mbar(a), and up to 10,500 m³/h.
Can you overhaul our existing blowers?
Yes. We overhaul blowers in our workshop or on site.
Can blower noise be reduced?
Yes. Silencers, acoustic enclosures, and pulsation dampeners reduce noise and pipe vibration.
